Paula Engman graduated from New England School of Art and has since taken courses throughout the years from the Museum School in Boston, MA. Her style of painting is impressionistic - loose and free. Often times painting her subjects without their knowledge while they are on the move. Whenever she is unable to set up her paints in public places, she will do sketches and bring them home for future paintings.
Paula has demonstrated her painting technique at several shows including Winthrop Art Association for cable TV, the Flower Show in Boston, MA and the Watertown Art Association.
Some of her numerous awards include several First Place awards from Winthrop Art Shows, Special Merit Awards and the Grumbacher Award for 2004.
Her work has been shown at Chaffee Art Gallery in Vermont, Classic and Dupree Art Gallery in Winthrop, MA., Concetta's in Marblehead, MA. Paula's work is currently shown at Mast Cove Gallery in Kennebunkport, ME.
